Monday, September 21st, 2009

Coleman tents are a great choice for anybody who loves to go hiking or camping, whether alone or in a group. For years, the name has been synonymous with quality and reliability that every camper who has used a Coleman tent would admit to.

Coleman has a wide range of products to offer – from featherweight backpacking tents meant for single users to jumbo-sized cabin tents. Coleman’s products can withstand any inclement weather conditions. The very best materials go into making these tents, and they can be companions for a lifetime. The sturdy frame of a Coleman tent makes it capable of resisting the impact of gusty winds. These tents are available in various sizes to cater to the needs of different kinds of outdoor enthusiasts. Extra yards of tent fabric may be bothersome for some campers, but more fabric means more space, and that’s where a Coleman tent scores above its competitors.

KrazX is the best backpacking tent offered by Coleman. It comes with a two way compression carry bag. The tent is quite airy, light and easy to carry, and can be set up in a few easy steps, which makes it the right choice for hiking and family picnics.

Coleman Crestline tent is a good camping tent choice when the camping group is small. It comes with a welcome mat to keep the interior clean, along with pole leaves and windows that can be closed at will for privacy and a good night’s sleep. With a center height of 59 inches, it can house four people at a time easily.

An account on Coleman tents cannot be complete without the mention of Coleman’s car camping and large family camping tents that are both spacious and comfortable. Around four people can be accommodated inside these tents, but there’s always room for more people is some of the variants.

Tips on Working Overseas: South East Asia

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

Working in Thailand as a foreigner normally means taking in an English teaching position. Even though there are well paid English teaching jobs in universities like Thammasat or Chulalongkorn, the vast majority of such positions aren’t terribly well paid.

As a matter of fact, don’t expect a decent salary for any highly skilled job, teaching or otherwise. It doesn’t sound very promising, but in reality if you hope to live in the Land of Smiles for an extended period of time, such poorly paid jobs aren’t any trouble since Thailand is a cheap place to live, the infrastructure is perhaps the best in this region of the world, it’s a friendly and safe country, and there’s nonetheless every chance to further your career and gain some useful work experience.

However there is an obscured problem that slowly shows itself over time: you’ve been living in the Land of Smiles for a few years, and you’ve gained great work experience, your pay is low, but so what : the cost of living is low so no problem. BUT, do you know what’s coming next? : You’ve been unable to save money while living in Thailand. The cost of air tickets look very over-priced compared to your salary. The price of things back home begins to panic you when you compare your Thai wage slip. This problem troubles many non-Thai nationals in Thailand a year or so after starting work there. Long- term future plans can often be put on hold since you don’t have the savings to put into action any plan like buying a property, buying a car, or tieing the knot..

Therefore, key point : when thinking about living in the Land of Smiles, it’s wise to also consider that you will find it incredibly difficult to bank substantial amounts of cash when considering the cost of living of “back home”.

However, not everything revolves around earning cash, does it? You can gain a wonderful experience in Thailand, perhaps learn the Thai language, make new friends, travel around the country when you have time off work, and gain some invaluable overseas work experience.

So what kind of job positions can you secure in Thailand? Looking at jobs-quality.com – a website listing jobs in and around the Bangkok and Chonburi districts of Thailand – they have listed HR job positions, Administration job placements in Thailand, sales executive work placements, safety officer work placements etc. Essentially the types of job positions you’d discover in your home country. Even though most of these job posts may be seeking a Thai speaker, you will still find English-speaking prerequisites for jobs inside many global organizations located in Thailand.

My Trip to Hawaii

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

This blog is from our recent trip to Oahu. Ive got to tell you, if you ever have the chance to make it to Hawaii, you should definitely take the offer. It has to be one of the most scenic places in the US. What a blessing it is to have such a special location in our nation.

The hospitality there is brilliant. We took a widsurfing lesson, rode a canoe, watched a few hula shows and even had a chance to try out some bona fide Hawaiian food at a luau. They say ono out there, it means delicious. The Kalua Pig is to die for and be sure to stop by for a lava flow cocktail at Dukes. Its a little spot on Waikiki beach, great for an evening cocktail. One of the most memorable aspects was when we treated ourselves to the best Honolulu massage. It was spectacular, super relaxing and well deserved after a hard years work.

Waikiki is fantastic. Don’t stress that you won’t do it all, because you can’t. Determine what is most important to you and focus on that. Take time to relax and enjoy just being there. Needless to say, we will be going back as soon as possible.
